Equipping Elders

Your Trusted Partners for Local Church Advancement

Equipping Elders serve as a strategic extension of the Trinity Conference’s mission to strengthen and support local churches across our connection. Assigned to key geographic areas, these experienced leaders come alongside pastors and congregations to provide coaching, encouragement, practical resources, and focused training in areas such as church leadership, revitalization, and missional outreach planning.

Their work helps equip the saints for the work of ministry, fostering healthy, growing churches that make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe.

Seven Simple Steps for Setting Goals in Your Church

I often hear the same concern from pastors and church leaders: “We’re busy, but not always sure we’re moving in the right direction.” Calendars fill quickly, good ministry is happening, and yet there’s a lingering question about alignment—about whether our time, energy, and focus are truly centered on what God is calling our church to do in this season.

That question led me to develop a simple, prayer-shaped framework I’m now sharing with churches across the Trinity Conference: Seven Simple Steps to Setting Goals for Your Church. It helps leadership teams slow down, listen together, and discern God’s direction—clarifying vision, defining mission, and naming shared core values before building a clear Ministry Action Plan with a few SMART goals and rhythms for review. The aim is not to do more, but to align more fully so that ministry flows from discernment rather than pressure.

More Than Bible Stories: Discipling Children in the Local Church

Across the Trinity Conference, one of the most common things we hear is, “We need help with children’s ministry.” Others ask an even more important question: “We have children’s ministry, but are we truly making disciples?” Those conversations inspired More Than Bible Stories: Discipling Children in the Local Church—a resource designed to help churches move beyond filling time on Sunday mornings toward intentionally forming young disciples in the way of Jesus.

Rooted in Scripture and shaped by our Global Methodist theology, it comes alongside your church with practical guidance for shaping children in worship, prayer, doctrine, and mission. Watch Pastor Brad’s invitation below, then request access.

Digital Communications Resource

Building Your Church’s Digital Front Door

Before people ever visit your church, they will try to visit you online. If your church cannot be found online, your community may never discover the life-giving ministry happening inside your walls.

80%of first-time church visitors will visit a church’s website before attending in person.1
76%of web users say the most important element in website design is how easy it is to find information.2

That’s why Trinity Conference is launching a new outreach initiative: a “done-for-you,” professionally designed church webpage for member churches with no website, an outdated site, or one that’s hard to navigate. In partnership with Rev. Enid Henderson’s resource-development efforts, our Communications Team will create, host, and maintain a simple landing page for each participating church—an affordable, sustainable solution within reach of even the smallest congregations, with limited scholarships available.
