The Lord calls His Church to see the harvest all around us: people and communities who need the Gospel and God’s transforming grace. Approved by the 2026 Annual Conference, Equipping for the Harvest is the Trinity Conference’s three-year strategic plan for 2026–2029. It reflects our commitment to equip every disciple to make disciples, every leader to grow and raise up leaders, and every church to partner in planting.
This work begins with prayer and moves into action. Guided by Scripture and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we pursue a vision where we grow together in holiness, impact, and multiplication, trusting God to bring the increase.
As a conference, we believe that clarity fuels fruitfulness. This guide provides a simple framework that shows how our Mission, Strategic Vision, Objectives, and Pathways build on one another to help us stay faithful to God’s calling. Starting with our foundational identity and moving toward practical next steps, each layer brings increasing definition to the work of making disciples and strengthening churches. Together, these elements reflect our shared commitment to see leaders equipped, churches thriving, and disciples sent into the harvest.
The mission is the foundation of who we are. It defines our everyday purpose and the core work God has called us to do. Everything else flows from this. This is the constant, unchanging center of all we do.
For the GMC, our mission is:
The Global Methodist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe.
The strategic vision describes what we believe will happen when we faithfully live out our mission. It paints a picture of our preferred future and the key outcomes we expect to see. If the mission is what we do daily, the strategic vision is what becomes true over time.
For the Trinity Conference, our strategic vision framework is:
Our objectives are a set of concise, specific goals that turn our strategic vision into measurable results. These objectives define what success looks like within a given time frame and give us clear indicators that we are moving toward the vision.
The objectives within our strategic vision include:
The pathways are the most detailed level. They outline potential initiatives, ideas, and methods that can help us achieve each objective. The Connectional Council will be responsible for choosing which pathways will be implemented to support the strategic vision framework and objectives of our strategic plan.
Per the Book of Doctrines and Disciplines, the Connectional Council is responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan established by the Annual Conference. The possible pathways on this page demonstrate some of the options they may choose in order to support our strategic vision framework and objectives.
