We are pleased to report on the resiliency and restoration of our communities in the wake of Hurricane Beryl.
Our efforts to check in with leaders of all 375 churches within the Trinity Conference is ongoing; so far they have revealed many encouraging stories of the Body mobilizing to help those hardest hit.
Among the relief efforts is the mobile feeding operation hosted by Eight Days of Hope in the parking lot of The Woodlands Methodist Church (shown above). Their combined ministry efforts are serving anyone in need of meals across the North Houston / Montgomery County areas. This relief effort is running from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. today (Thursday) and Friday. We are truly grateful for this partnership. Watch our leadership video from this operation by clicking here.
DISASTER RELIEF SURVEY
In addition to the short-term relief efforts, there are many more longer-term needs emerging as we continue our needs assessments of church buildings, parsonages and pastors' homes in the Trinity Conference. We have a dedicated relief fund to help in the restoration of these structures, and we are asking your help in making your needs known to our Conference leadership team.
In order to expedite our discovery and support efforts we have created a Disaster Relief Survey. Presiding Elders and other members of our leadership teams are using this tool to capture information from churches in the storm-affected areas. If you are a pastor or lay leader in your church and need assistance, please use this Survey to communicate the nature of damage and immediate needs of your church.
DONATE NOW
In order to fund storm recovery, we are asking those of you who are able to prayerfully consider donating to our Conference disaster relief fund — the proceeds of which will go to help restore churches, pastors' homes and parsonages that have been damaged by Beryl.
