I’ve known for some time now, that the Holy Spirit is at work among us. We saw glimpses of it when we gathered in College Station for our Annual Conference in June, and I’m excited about a new opportunity for us to keep leaning into what the Spirit is going to do this fall!
Trinity Conference is partnering with Spirit & Truth to host Empowered for Witness equipping weekends across our Conference in late 2026 and early 2027.
Many of you will remember Rev. Dr. Matt Reynolds, who joined us as a guest speaker and preacher at Annual Conference, and how he challenged us to think about what it means to live as everyday witnesses for Jesus. Matt reminded us that evangelism isn’t simply a program of the church; it is part of the calling God has given every one of us. And the good news? We are not left to do it alone. The Holy Spirit is with us, leading us, shaping us, and giving us what we need to faithfully respond.
That is really at the heart of these weekends. Through worship, prayer, biblical teaching, and practical experiences, we’ll learn to become more attentive to the Holy Spirit and more comfortable taking those simple steps of obedience that can open the door for someone else to encounter Christ.
You don’t have to be a preacher. You don’t have to have all the right words. You simply have to be willing to ask, “God, how do you want to use me?”

My hope is that people from churches all across Trinity will come hungry for more of God and open to whatever He wants to do in us. Imagine what could happen in our churches and communities if every one of us learned to recognize the Spirit’s leading and simply shared Jesus Christ with others.
