Glory & Goodness: Reflecting God’s Character in the World frames our understanding of scriptural holiness, the mission set before us by the Convening General Conference of the Global Methodist Church in Costa Rica last September.
Firmly rooted in 2 Peter 1:3–11, Glory & Goodness isn’t just a lofty conference theme. It’s a scriptural mandate; a heart posture; a way of life; an essential step in our journey from justification to sanctification — growing more and more into the image of Christ.
Scriptural holiness is practical and life changing. It’s about letting God’s love work in us, so it naturally flows out in how we treat others. It’s resisting temptation and humbly confessing sin. It’s forgiving someone who doesn’t even ask for it. It’s loving and serving our neighbors well. This kind of holiness isn’t something we muster up on our own—it’s the result of God transforming our hearts and helping us reflect His light in a world that desperately needs it.
