On June 18, the remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur dropped more than 29 inches of rain in less than 24 hours, leading to catastrophic flooding in numerous rural communities in Avoyelles and St. Landry Parishes. Other parishes also received torrential rainfall and flooding as well. To date, over 600 dwellings have received damage and are in need of repair.
The Global Methodist Church currently has three disaster response partnership agreements: Faith Responders, On Mission Network, and Samaritan's Purse. All three of these organizations are active in Louisiana and need your prayers, your donations, and if you can spare any, your time.
