Prayer

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. — 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

Whether personal, corporate, or intercessory, prayer is the means by which we relate to God and discern His guidance for our lives and our ministries. As members of the Trinity Conference, we continually seek the heart of God through prayer. We simply cannot advance the cause of Christ without it, and that's why we've established a Conference prayer team — to help guide and equip our congregations in this essential spiritual practice.

Prayer Team Co-Directors

Ms. Crissie Chenette and Ms. Jan Floro

Crissie Chenette and her husband, William, are members of First Methodist, Conroe, Texas. She has served on the prayer team at two previous churches and at the New Room Conference. Crissie began learning about praying scripture as an adult and discovered a love for praying with others. Crissie serves on the Global Methodist Prayer Team as a Regional Prayer Director for the Trinity Conference.

Jan Floro and her husband, Dennis, are members of First Methodist Conroe, Texas. Jan’s earliest memories of prayer are hearing her parents pray scripture over her at a young age. She now finds herself praying scripture over her children and grandchildren and prays that this will continue for future generations. She is a Congregational Coach helping churches grow spiritually and numerically to live out their purpose in God’s plan. Jan serves on the Global Methodist Prayer Team as a Regional Prayer Director for the Trinity Conference.

Area Prayer Team Leaders

Prayer is at the heart of our connection throughout the Trinity Conference and the greater denomination of the Global Methodist Church (GMC). We have a faithful team of Area Prayer Representatives across the Trinity Conference who are passionate about prayer and sharing this passion. Area Prayer Representatives gather via zoom to pray together and to share information about prayer conferences, workshops, and additional prayer opportunities across the Conference. They communicate with their Presiding Area Elder to serve as a resource person and assist the work of the Area to help engage and equip each congregation to have an active prayer ministry.
