Will you join us in praying for the Assembly of Bishops?

The Assembly of Bishops believes in the power of prayer to connect us to one another and to the heart of the Father. Because of this, on April 23^rd at noon EDT (11:00 CDT), when they are gathered in person, they will pray specifically for the Trinity Conference. We invite every pastor and every congregation to take this opportunity to stand together before the throne of grace to intercede for our Bishops at the same time. Here are the requests sent by the Assembly of Bishops for us:

• We are wrapping up three days of in-person meetings, and we give God great thanks and praise for the ways he has guided and inspired us. Through times of prayer, confession, deliberation, and creative conversation, we have discovered another level of unity and a great appreciation for one another. Our faith has been strengthened, as have our relationships. And this, of course, strengthens the Body of Christ.
• Pray that we begin the work of better defining the core values and behaviors of the GMC.
• Pray for God’s hand over the videos being produced: “The Nature of the Episcopacy” and “Spirit -filled Methodism.” Seek the Lord’s favor as these videos are released so they reach the most people and help us to continue shaping our culture.
• Travel is extensive for all of us in this season. Pray for God’s hand of protection over us as we travel, and for our families while we are away. Pray especially for the Lord’s protection over our important relationships.
• Pray for areas where the ground is hard and the gospel is being hampered by unfaithful partners. We hear God’s call: “After you have done all you can do, STAND.” Pray that we will have courage and wisdom to do that well.
